Genau richtig! Der Deal muss sein: wir schweigen zu Venezuela und erschweren die US Ziele dort nicht, aber nur wenn ihr dasselbe in Bezug auf Ukraine und Grönland macht. Man wird von dieser US Administration als Europa nur etwas bekommen, wenn man etwas anzubieten hat

Quite rare that a general strategy document like the NSS and its ‘Trump corollary’ www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/u.... (p.14-15) is put into practice immediately. Only parallel I know of: Bush’ infamous 2002 NSS. That didn’t end well….

Probably because NYT readers find the story sickening anyway. It just doesn’t matter whether it’s on p. 1 or 13 as long as it does not reach potential Trump voters in their echo-chambers. I’m always puzzled by how much effort is spent on making sure the right message is presented
