Some mind-blowingly kind reviews for my latest book NOTORIOUS.

I don't know who you all are, but genuine, heartfelt thanks from the bottom of my heart.

How is this being allowed?

Still I've never seen a black hi vis jacket before is that a thing

Presumably, they couldn't fit "Walter Mittys" on their jackets.
OK. Here's the thing. You just can't put on a jacket and pretend to be a security patrol in the UK. It's actually illegal. Who the actual F are these "Essex Spartans"? Government has laws and rules and they need to enforce them.

You know I'm not saying everything is peachy.. or even will be... it's a disaster for millions of people. But this is not going to end well for these protagonists.

But that's the beauty of it all.

Next US presidential election is 2028.

Next UK general election 2029

This is year 5 of a two term presidency with an intermission in the middle.

The man in the White House is a bumbling idiot with obvious cognitive issues and it's only going to get a hell of a lot worse.

Anyone banding themselves to that waggon is in need of reading lessons.

Trump is hurtling into lame duck territory.

His ratings are off a cliff. It's his second term, and the next generation of Republicans are desperately distancing themselves from him, fearing wipeout.

Nigel Farage, meanwhile, clearly hasn't noticed and thinks it's all going to be happy days ahead.

Conservative Shadow Culture Secretary Nigel Huddleston tells GB News that the BBC should "grovel" to Trump.

Amazing how many British 'patriots' are spending their time telling our national broadcaster to prostrate itself before a hostile foreign leader

Many years ago I did a cultural awareness course and rule one was this: You can criticise your own country and you can do it as much as you like. But when someone else does it, you remember all the things you actually love about it and - it's enraging.

When your nan can't watch Cash in the Attic. When Traitors has gone. When GB News replaces Newsnight. When Antiques Roadshow and Strictly Come Dancing disappear from the box - all so that Donald Trump can sit on some fuck off gold throne and mock Britain - d'ya think people will be happier?

The BBC is ours. It's ours to love. Ours to criticise. Ours to shout at when we feel in the mood.

And if Farage thinks that the way to win favour with voters is to stand around cheering as Trump takes down the BBC for $1 billion of personal enrichment then he's a bigger fool than anyone thought.

Politico: "Veteran BBC presenter David Dimbleby told Channel 4 last night that it is “one of the most violent assaults on the BBC’s independence that I’ve seen in my lifetime,” while Playbook is told staff have been voicing “a lot of anger towards [right wing BBC board member] Robbie Gibb.”
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

Yup
Quisling
The "appropriate response" is to broadcast everything that Trump did and said on that appalling day for American democracy and then to tell this moron to sling his hook.
I might be wrong, but this stinks of Pharage involvement.

Oh look. There really are "no go areas" in England.

And they're marked by St George's flags

Also - why is the BBC interviewing an employee from GB News. He's not an MP.

Mogg's suit is his armour.

His cut glass accent and Etonian affectation are a force field.

Beneath them both, he's a rude, insufferable arse.
Jacob-Rees Mogg supports President Trump's right to sue the BBC

He then repeatedly asks Gillian Tett questions but doesn't let her reply, so Victoria Derbyshire has to step in and tell him off

Wonderful, thought-provoking night with @bylinetimes.bsky.social friends at the Cockpit Theatre

Andrew Neil could host This Week on the BBC while being editor of The Spector.

The hysterical cries of "bias" only go one way.

When my kids were little I flew to Bangkok for work. And honestly the sleep there and back... and the uninterrupted opportunity to watch films were the highlight of the trip.
SUPERB and angrily unvarnished response, by former BBC chairman, Lord Patten.

"I don't think that we should allow ourselves to be bullied into thinking that the BBC is only any good, if it reflects the prejudice of the last person who shouted at it." ~AA

Also, Robbie Gibb is hardly a leftie!!

Very soon

These abject chancers expect us to sit by and nod along sagely as they splurge their hypocritical nonsense.

No thank you.

The CURRENT sitting MP for Clacton earns £511,000 as a presenter for GB News and took £281,000 as a brand ambassador for Direct Bullion.

So maybe sit this one out, you rancid herring.
