I have to admit, I’ve been getting down about the liars and the dirty dirty cheats of the world

I would know better than to wear Cowboys gear in Philly. Heck, I don’t even wear it here.

"I'm proud to represent Team USA. But we'd be remiss if we didn't mention what's going on in Minnesota and what a tough time it's been. What's happening is wrong. There's no shades of gray."

In 2022, a group of SpaceX employees wrote an open letter asking the co to distance itself from Elon Musk's online behavior. They were fired and the NLRB opened an investigation.

Then Musk funded Trump's election win. Now, the Trump NLRB has dismissed the case.

ice dancers were told to use songs "in the style of the 1990s." One Czech pair tried using AI to pump out a song to skate to, but their AI bot fully plagiarized "You Get What You Give" by The New Radicals and they had to change it

It will surprise y’all to hear that there are no “Muslims taking over the state” and there is no “sharia law” in Texas that threatens anyone.

This is genuinely disgusting.

New research just dropped, as the kids say. My partner @medialawprof.bsky.social and took a look at how states are trying to stop people from using AI to lie. We settled on A) it probably won’t work, B) is very probably unconstitutional, and C) tech companies need to prioritize tools to help users.

Absolutely this. Love working with Jeremy because he brings policy & tech function & culture in while I can focus on the legal analysis.
I've been out of PhD school 17 years and if there's one piece of advice I'd give those just starting that journey it's this: find good people who 1) you work well with and 2) are interested in things that interest you but offer some distinct take that differs from yours. It makes you better.
Excited to see this article in print! Colorado Tech Law Review published the work @jeremylittau.com and I did on First Amendment challenges when states try to ban use of AI in political campaigns, and some other policy options when political speech bans may be struck down. ctlj.colorado.edu?p=1447

*new* from me:

As pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, three front office staffers spoke to me about helping Latino baseball players and their families navigate an America ravaged by ICE raids.

They say guidance from MLB has been “minimal” so their teams are getting creative.
How do MLB workers protect Latin players from Trump's ICE raids? By themselves.
Front office staffers told eyeblack about keeping immigrant players safe while league guidance is minimal and "Manfred kisses Trump's ass."
