i think that people really underestimate reality that

1) administration has no doctrine, it is really about a single, mercurial, and half-awake man

2) the administration is a constantly churning system with factions that rise and fall contextually

3) might not have happened if trump tower caracas

This is not the first US imperial atrocity for oil —let’s not exceptionalize it— but wow is is it awful. And the violation of Venezuelans domestically in the name of a sovereign borders they actually dgaf about.

On his first day in office, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani revoked all of the executive orders issued by former Mayor Eric Adams after his indictment in 2024 — including measures that sought to crack down on pro-Palestine protests and advocacy.
