It's the last week of scheduled Congressional business and the fascist bits are kicking off tonight with a cloture vote in the Senate for S 1071. Initially a 1-page bill to disinter a serial killer from a military cemetery, it's now morphed into a Frankenstein with a very fascist NDAA included.

I hate that I have to say this once again, but you need to prepare for a world in which Nick Fuentes is the new Charlie Kirk. Fuentes is horrific & he is incredibly good at playing the media. This is another escalation in a year of escalations & derisively mocking it cannot be a serious option.

"porch piracy" is theft. it's illegal in every single state. in states with expansive statutes, this could even be burglary. there is no evidence that local police or prosecutors are unable to handle this. and existing federal law on interstate transportation of stolen property can handle big cases.

Like... it's been well established at this point that a lot of what's happening at HHS is politically driven and not backed up by science. News organizations will note that in the vaccine coverage and whatnot. But on trans stuff, those same outlets will act as though HHS has some sterling reputation

I talked to someone in healthcare today and am genuinely panicked the country is headed towards an epic disaster in terms of healthcare costs and the Democrats’ plan is… nothing.
Companies cannot cover the costs and will continue to dump those costs on individuals.
