Context you rarely hear: global stocks are up about 30% over the past year. U.S. stocks? Around 18%. That means American investors underperformed the world by about 12 percentage points, even while headlines called it a “fantastic year.”

What a piece of shit.
Phang: If that happened in January, how in the actual hell is Blanche now telling the American people that they suddenly discovered a million more documents?

GTFOH. As far back as January, the entirety of the Epstein files were transferred to Main Justice at DOJ…

Sanders' logic is straightforward: current US tax policy subsidizes AI and other automation. His proposal lengthens depreciation schedules for "automation capital" that demonstrably reduces full-time employment. Revenue would flow to an "Automation Dividend Fund" for large-scale worker retraining.

Solutions for AI crisis: Robot Tax and Automation Equity: Senator Bernie Sanders released a detailed Senate report in October 2025 proposing a "Robot Tax and Automation Equity Act".

White political authoritarianism like US has now, is one where the right wing state protects the increasing AI and other automated profits of the elite capitalistic few against the desperate demands of the many, including those recently college educated!

They will blaming immigrants or "woke" education institutions for structural unemployment, deploying militarized police powers to quell inevitable unrest of white collar "cognitive precariat." This path leads not to a free market, but to a technologically advanced form of authoritarianism.

Historically, overproduction of worker elite without corresponding employment roles is primary driver of political instability/revolution. In this case our rt-wing administration will likely pivot not to economic support but to scapegoating & repression.

🗃️ Socialist of the Day: Alice Hamilton (February 27, 1869 – September 22, 1970) was an American physician, research scientist, and author who is best known as a leading expert in the field of occupational health and a pioneer in the field of industrial toxicology.

If Trump administration & allies reject AI "robot taxes" as anti-business &refuse to expand welfare for job displaced, we'll witness dangerous paradox: rapidly growing class of well-educated and downwardly mobile citizens locked out of economy by the very AI technologies they were trained to use.

Next 10+years will see by more job recomposition rather replacement. Sharpest prediction is not "mass unemployment," but protracted job allocation crisis: over who captures the time saved by AI and who bears the cost of the transition. This is fundamentally a question of power, not just technology.

The AI "explosion" we are witnessing is not mere product release cycle but fundamental retooling of economy's cognitive infrastructure. Moving from era of discrete tools—word processors, spreadsheets—to era of probabilistic reasoning layers mediating how knowledge is retrieved, synthesized, applied.
