We are facing a humanitarian crisis here. Each passing day we learn of new neighbors who haven’t left their homes and have fallen through the cracks. Lots of people aren’t connected to mutual aid networks. Just terrible suffering caused by the federal government.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

The Epstein emails should really end the debate over whether society should have billionaires. "Do you want there to be a class of people so powerful they can fuck your kids and no one will even try to do anything" seems like an easy sell if everyone in politics wasn't trying to get on their payroll

I am suffering from a bout of insomnia that might finally end me but I'm thinking about how we're very casual about chameleons. that they exist, that they look like that, and that they can do what they do. but then again every creature is bizarre and miraculous

Half a billion on terrorizing citizens but we can’t have universal healthcare or basic income or affordable housing or public transit or

Think about it like this. This ICE agent was on camera and unmasked — fulfilling one of three "demands" Democratic leader Chuck Schumer just issued in order to agree to save Republicans and give DHS even more money.

And he was still threatening to kill someone.
"You raise your voice, I erase your voice."

ICE in Minneapolis are erasing your rights.

the best thing from any summoningsalt video is watching arcus slowly turn into a cowboy monk as he gets better at ninja gaiden than anyone can ever be
every white guy in the process of going down the algorithm rabbit hole should be given a collection of retro consoles, a steady supply of food, and a set of SummoningSalt videos

they can reenter society once they break a speedrun world record
every time i see a white guy in their fifties radicalized by the twitter algorithm into racism and extremism i think about how it's a total failure of the youtube algorithm to instead radicalize him into home brewing, elaborate A/V setups, or DIY solar

I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work.

I don’t let bullies win.

Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.

I love their anger and confusion. I love that they've never once in their whole worthless lives felt care for or from another person. I love that they're hollow and worthless and will never know joy.
They're so ANGRY that we take care of each other, and not just angry.

So CONFUSED by it.

And that is why we will win

I really think those 7 Democrats would have voted for that bill regardless of what their consultants told them
The murder of Alex Pretti might prove to be a political turning point for the GOP. It should be a turning point for Dems, too. For the current leadership, and the consultant-industrial complex, which just fatally endangered the careers of seven members who chose to put morality last.
A Failure In Plain Sight

I’m a big fan of civilization. Rule of law, public health, universities, science, all good things. Great stuff. It may not be ‘politically correct’ to say this but I’m also a fan of what civilizations have done to idiot barbarian hordes who attempted to trample on those things.

It would be difficult to an industry, sector or institution not impacted by the surge in ICE in Maine. It cuts across all levels of the city and economies.

I’d say the mood in Portland Maine and surrounding towns right now is : fear, concern, caution, ghost town, and hyper vigilance. Networks of organizing happening - everything from grocery & prescription deliveries to folks responding to sightings of ICE & people documenting arrests. #PortlandMaine

Crucial context: ICE agents have typically been taught not to get scared, shoot fleeing moms in the head, and then call them a bitch afterwards on days 48 and 49 of their training.
Chris Murphy: "The amount of training that's given to an ICE officer has been cut in half by this administration. The number of days of training they get are 47. You know why they get 47 days? As an homage to the vanity of POTUS. No wonder the number of violent incidents are going through the roof."

i will never advocate for anyone to have kids or not; it’s immensely situational. but for me personally… my kid has only made me more radical, more determined, & more committed to building a better world. i have trouble valuing my own life, but she deserves better. all of us do, but especially kids
it is 🥲 motherhood has been a gift to me in that regard. helping her face the unknown has helped me too, & given me even more drive to build something better— bc to let her think i’m ok with How the World Works, or that it’s right & just, or that there is nothing we can do— that is not ok with me !!
