MAGA marketplace leaders are showing remarkably little public interest in the Epstein files, after it once was a huge issue for many of them—up until Trump’s admonishment in July to stop talking about it.

I realize there’s a lot of stuff going on already this morning, but that 4.3% GDP number is terrific news. I’ll be interested in some good under-the-hood analysis of it.

I see people jumping on this but I was impressed by this NYT hed, which IMO catches in few words the news in VPOTUS’s address: that he chose to be neutral in the movement’s open debate about whether to condemn outright bigotry; which means condoning hate while trying to keep his hands clean… (cont)

They had to know that there would be questions about pulling the story after promoting it all day. Especially, of course, given current scrutiny. How did they not have an explanation ready and available? Invites the worst assumptions and most disgruntled inside anonymous claims.

So today the VP used a high-profile speech to tell his party’s base not to criticize others on their partisan side for being too offensive or dishonest, because he and the President want them all to be part of the coalition.
