A draft-version of Trump’s National Security Strategy obsesses over the 'cultural health' of the US & Western civilization.

@swin24.bsky.social & @premthakker.bsky.social break down how Trump’s unpublished NSS feels like a diatribe against migration & cultural erasure.

Just saw the list of guests for tonight’s Matt Gaetz show on OAN, so apparently all *that* (gestures at today’s report on Gaetz) isn’t enough to bench him

Steve Bannon’s WarRoom show is starting, but I’m not going to be the one to listen to see if he addresses his emails with Epstein. Somebody else do it.

They’re making this awful person deputy general counsel at the General Services Administration. Well at least he’s not a DEI hire, amirite?

And they’re promising to surge that in coming months.
I just received a document from DHS showing that it has a detained population of 65,000, a staggering total, nearing half the total prison population detained by the Bureau of Prisons. The project is to jam them in horrible conditions until they give up their rights to stay

JD Vance is on Hannity tonight, so that should illuminate… something, maybe

I have decided that public figures who commit acts worthy of widespread disgrace and shame, should be punished by having Lily Allen make an album about them.

(If you haven’t heard West End Girl yet, you should. But steel yourself.)

A reminder that Charlie Kirk kept featuring Gaetz as a speaker at his big events right up to this summer, along with Epstein docs star Steve Bannon, Nazi defender Tucker Carlson and other fine upstanding citizens.

I’m not seeing much of any reaction to the NYT Matt Gaetz story in the right-wing marketplace yet. Will they turn on one of their own? Wagers?

Dan Scavino tweets this group photo of the WH Personnel Office, of which he has been put in charge, and I think you’ll agree that they have defeated the scourge of DEI.

I know you’re all busy with the Epstein docs, but you’re missing how badly Trump is getting pilloried by the MAGA base for his H1-B comments. It’s brutal. They are PISSED.

[grumble grumble] Nobody ever asks ME for advice on covering up their outrageous sex crimes

Very, very little interest in the NYT Epstein-Trump story so far from the right-wing marketplace influencer crowd. I’ve seen only a couple mention it, and those were only to dismiss it.

Trump letter to Israel President Herzog asking him to pardon Netanyahu to end the “lawfare” against him. Herzog has already responded, saying that pardon requests must be made via proper procedures.

Steve Bannon today says we don’t need tuition from foreign students because it just funds “tenured professors in woke universities.” YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

Politico reported that Pulte talked Trump into endorsing the 50-year mortgage idea in 10 minutes at the golf club, by saying Trump would be remembered for it like FDR. More evidence, I think, for my theory that Trump is interested almost exclusively on legacy projects.

Curious: has anyone seen any House Ds saying that they plan to vote in favor of the shutdown deal?

Or any House Rs saying they’ll vote against it?

Trump has issued a Victory Day proclamation today for the WWI armistice, but not a Veterans Day proclamation. (He previously has said he wants a WWII Victory Day in May.) I don’t have a real problem with acknowledging both today, I suppose, but this way kinda dis-acknowledges other vets, no?

There’s been a lot of talk about MTG ‘going sane,’ but let’s all be cautious in that asssssment ok?
