i enjoy the contrast between olympians being some of the most impressive humans on the planet and their social media content, which reveals most of them to be pretty silly, dorky teenagers

If you want to know who took your money, it's the people with all the money.

And if they can talk you into believing anyone else is to blame, they will keep picking your pockets and purchasing themselves politicians and getting away with it.
We can't fall into right-wing populism’s lie that the most vulnerable in society are to blame for wealth inequality in our countries. We need to build movements that tell the truth: the story of wealth inequality is not a cultural one, but a class one.

my pappy sent me a little haiku he wrote for a contest, about my auntie that died of cancer. he’s never wrote poetry before but i think this is a pretty great haiku:

potato salad. frybread.
now she’s in heaven—
no one knows the recipe.

i am just so thankful for the volunteers who have stepped up to help me with the website and have actually made things better and let me have my first day in a month to rest, clean my house, and not look at screens.

they are all so much more organized than me. it’s amazing.

“Minneapolis, I have been watching over you this difficult month, while ICE agents occupy us and kill us… I have never been prouder to stand among you and to belong to this community.“

Just cloned Stand With Minnesota for another state.

I am so excited someone finally took me up on the offer. I even made them a little logo and redid the site in their colors.

I am feeling myself change in this moment. True: let this radicalize you, type shit, I’ll tell you what.

A question I keep returning to: what must remain.

For me:
-knocking on my neighbors doors
-spotting a little cash
-radical bravery
-doing it afraid
-going at the pace to include the most

Here's the thing: This was true in 2024. In the very same surveys where media shouted from rooftops that majorities supported "mass deportation" MORE people supported having people stay. But the latter didn't merit airtime. Chart credit: @mikepod.bsky.social
