My fiancée and I went to see @pattonoswalt.bsky.social and he had a joke about men not getting an engagement ring, but they should get swords instead. She said, “my father left me a set of katanas. They’re now yours.” (Above an Arturia PolyBrute synthesizer)

The nice thing about having all Rs for fed reps is I never have to wonder if they're evil.
If the Democrats cave on this, it’s going to be the last straw for a LOT of their erstwhile supporters.

Folks... 0% final solutions for ANY community.

That's also what I mean by 0% Nazi.
I'm saying it feels a little (a lit) like missing the point and also explains how we wound up "Actually yes, again!"-ing.

Sometimes I wonder if our many years of jokes about writers hating writing and doing anything but writing, etc, have convinced people that the writing part is the hurdle and the goal is just to have a thing in hand. But I am here to tell you: the writing is the best part. The act is the thing.

Western Kansas is experiencing a water crisis. Groundwater, used for drinking and irrigation, is over pumped and contaminated. We could replace some of our corn acres with solar panels, which produce an energy crop with no chem inputs, and interplant with drought resistant native species.

This perfectly encapsulates how I feel living in the US. The republican party is an insane death cult, the democratic party is 3 corporations in a trench coat, and the "socialists" are just the completely normal left-wing capitalists you'd find in any of 2 dozen European nations.
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’

TBH there's not a better example of "everybody is 12" than this. The whole reason we have food aid is because if we don't send food, we'll eventually have to send troops and that's a lot more expensive.
I dunno. I do like our government spending less money anywhere they can. I like even more if my taxes go down as a result. Since when is our job to be the world’s mom and dad? Did other countries step up to fill that gap?

Most potential pet owners consider things like breeding, size, coat, intelligence, trainability, and temperament. Often overlooked is the crucially important element of aerodynamics, which can greatly affect your gas mileage, raising the overall cost of ownership significantly.
