Also I think the post-WW2 international order is substantially more defensible, even with its horrific elements, than any before it by a pretty large margin. There's a lot we lose by scrapping the thing.

I think the politics of AOC's approach are substantially better than the alternative, particularly given that the people who really hate the old order are very rarely American voters.

There are some notable exceptions, but generally if your idea is "I want a do-over on the long 19th century" it's a bad idea and you should try working on a new one.
