this is correct, stop putting sliced pickles on things, you perverts
Sliced pickles shouldn’t exist. All real world uses are covered by whole, spears , and relish.

reheated pot roast, building up for it being in the 20s tonight. trump should lower the tariffs to zero but build a giant wall on the northern border to keep their ice limey weather out
One of the worst habits this kind of dumb site invites is Takery. We need to get back to posting our lunch plans

i think the argument the cavers should’ve made/should make is “i couldn’t let people starve - we made a run thinking they would fold on aca, but trump really is that psychotic”

that’s an argument i think people could respect, but the won’t even make it
like this is basically it, the melts melted under pressure

i think "Trump learns he can get things out of the legislature by threatening to starve Americans" is a giant political boon for Democrats honestly. like how do we think he is going to employ that lesson in future that does not have dire electoral consequences?

I think that, fundamentally, ending the shutdown without a commitment that congress actually controls how money is spent in this country is Very, Very Bad

but I am being thoroughly polarized away from that position's salience by the monstrous behavior of the sephiroth-posters who want starved kids

watching a documentary on the celts and they’re talking up the fights with the romans and seemingly avoiding the part where the romans, y'know, win

if you wanna blame somebody I think Mark Warner is a pretty good choice. also I think a lot of the Biden Go drama was because Warner thought he could and should be President.

he's on the ballot in 2026 and does not afaik have a primary challenger

forcing them to kill the filibuster is a win, but they weren’t going to do that because after last week they’re fully anticipating a bloodbath next year - and probably in 28, because let’s be honest, vp divorced chuckie doll probably ain’t winning
Democrats weren't going to win. They were going to force Republicans to kill the filibuster. WIthout the filibuster they would be forced in power to pass a lot of things they don't want to pass.

i suspect there’s some truth to this and also why we should be EXTREMELY skeptical that senate dems as currently constituted would ditch the filibuster should they ever have a trifecta again
