The problem is that some on the left know one fact about antisemitism, which is that “anti-zionism is not antisemitism.”

This is like if the only thing you knew about racism was “it’s not racist to criticize Liberia.”

It is true in most cases but you’re not actually anti-racist if you stop there
Pointing out antisemitism on the left is one of the most annoying experiences one can have on Bluesky, not only do you get actual antisemites in your replies but also other leftists who are reflexively defensive and who bristle at the slightest critique.

This is what happens when good rail service is so limited. No you don’t. That’s not true.
Markwayne Mullin defends "show me your papers": "If you're here legally, there's nothing to hide. Most people already are walking around with a government-issued ID, meaning your Real ID or your driver's license. If you go board a train here, you gotta show your ID."

El Paso’s haunted
The airspace over El Paso airport, Texas, has been suddenly closed by the FAA for ten days, closing the airport too. The airspace has been defined as "National Defence Airspace". Nobody knows why.

This was Mike Johnson's third failed rule vote of the 119th Congress, bringing him closer to tying the modern era record for rule failure in the House.

Which is currently held by... Mike Johnson, from the 118th Congress
RULE VOTE FAILS, 217-214.

Three Republicans- Thomas Massie, Kevin Kiley, and Don Bacon - buck the party to allow floor consideration of measures to end Trump's tariffs.

The first such measure, likely on Canada tariffs, could come up as soon as tomorrow
Republicans have been holding this vote open for 40 minutes or so, but the holdouts- Massie, Kiley, Bacon, reportedly left the Capitol. The absent Republican is Greg Murphy (R-NC), who has missed a lot of time since a mid December surgery.

Not clear why Johnson is still holding this vote open

You know I have been struggling to figure out what is going on with the NYS bureaucracy and I didn't notice the Occam's razor of it all: these laws are being written by people who are stuck in Albany

Hurrah for juries but this is insane and the lawyers involved should be disbarred
BREAKING: @carolleonnig.bsky.social reports a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C. declined to indict Sens. Mark Kelly and Elissa Slotkin on charges of seditious conspiracy Tuesday, according to a person familiar with the proceedings.

Inherently suspicious of anyone who runs for NYS legislature. Why would you want a job that requires you to go to Albany on a regular basis.

Team USA Curler Rich Ruohonen:
"We'd be remiss if we didn't at least mention what's going on in Minnesota...I am a lawyer, as you know, and we have a constitution... and what's happening in Minnesota is wrong. There's no shades of gray. It's clear."

The inability to see public posts without being logged in is perhaps the worst internet development in recent years imo. It started with tiktok of course.
Notably, only a small sample of a Twitter account’s posts are now available if you don’t login or download the app, and replies are completely inaccessible.

This judge is effectively asserting that the personal information you have to provide Twitter to have an account does not have value.
