Just remembered the James OKeefe sting video with a DOJ official from early September: “They’ll redact every Republican or conservative person in those files [and] leave all the liberal, Democratic people”
December 20, 2025 at 2:21 AM
“The Justice Department redacted the names and identifiers of victims. Fox News Digital has learned that the same redaction standards were applied to politically exposed individuals and government officials.”

Think I have conclusively demonstrated that the search tool for the limited release Epstein Files published so far by the Justice Department does not work

While all eyes were on health care, Dems very nearly pulled off another big surprise on the House floor. A war powers resolution vote forced by @meeks.house.gov to block Trump and Hegseth's boat strikes in the Caribbean nearly passed; 7 Republicans flipped their votes from yes to no late in the vote

Another note on this- as @ringsidenews.com points out, the discharge petition locked when it hit 218 signatures meaning no one else could sign. Other Republicans (LaLota, Salazar, Valadao) have since signaled they would also have signed had then been able and may support the bill on the floor
FOUR REPUBLICANS just signed the House Democratic discharge petition to force a House vote on the Hakeem Jeffries bill to extend health care tax credits for 3 years: Brian Fitzpatrick (PA), Mike Lawler (NY), Rob Bresnahan (PA), and Ryan Mackenzie (PA). Gives it the required 218 signatures. Huge news

"I have not lost control of the House"

Signs Trump is losing his grip:

- R’s passed CR that (for now) blocks Trump's RIFs
- R's just passed NDAA that denies Hegseth $$ until he releases boat strike video
- 20 R's just joined Dems to block Trump's Executive Order on fed labor rights
- Indiana Senate Rs kill redistricting in blowout vote

Strange that House Republicans weren't able to solve this problem in a two hour meeting after procrastinating for all of 2025 and generally failing to come up with a health care plan for the last 16+ years

NEWS --> Tons of fresh detail on what video of the strike shows: Rep Adam Smith says two men are sitting on capsized boat, drugs aren't visible. Rationale officials gave for killing is they *may* have been able to keep trafficking.

"It's bad," Smith says.

For years we've all called them "the January 6th pipe bomber," but if the information in DOJ's complaint is accurate and he is the guilty party, Cole apparently started making bombs long before the 2020 election and may have made other bombs before and/or after January 6, 2021
Very noteworthy dates for these purchases by the alleged pipe bomber suspect Brian Cole Jr.:

- Cole purchased bomb components as early as October of 2019, over a year before the bombs were placed and discovered in January of 2021

- Cole purchased more bomb-making materials AFTER January 6th

Revisiting this from last week, seems like they were on point here
“A few other GOP members messaged us over the weekend saying that they, too, are considering retiring in the middle of the term.” — Punchbowl

Jake Sherman added: “since this ran this morning -- 4 hours ago? -- ive gotten countless text messages from House Republicans agreeing with this sentiment.“

Incredible:

"Nancy Mace of South Carolina has told people she is so frustrated... that she is planning to huddle with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia next week to discuss following her lead and retiring early from Congress."

They just cancelled the vote on their marquee bill for this week (the SCORE Act) because they didn't have the votes. The rule on this nearly failed yesterday also. They are having a tough time

Aftyn Behn is going to fall a little short here but the shift from 2024 in today's election in central Tennessee is looking like ~15 or so points to the left.

The big surprise to me is total turnout, specials normally are very low turnout but this may have more voters than the '22 midterm in TN-07
