Two days after Rolling Stone sent Russell Simmons questions for this article, a lawyer for three of the accusers told Rolling Stone: The matter has been resolved.

Documents filed in legal proceedings show that as of January 2025, Russell Simmons owed a total of at least $8 million to three other accusers. These filings from earlier this year claimed that Simmons had paid only $220,000 total to them.

Hello from Manhattan federal court. Sean "Diddy" Combs is getting sentenced in his federal case this morning. Scene outside is pretty chill thus far. Here's a pic of the line for entry into courtroom for Diddy. Not everyone will get in. There's still an overflow courtroom, though.
