just said uuuhhhhhh???? aloud, to no one, for like 30 seconds straight
Hmm. The US is giving $10 billion in taxpayer dollars, not appropriated by Congress, to a fake board set up by the President and which he put himself in charge of *for life*... seems very, very illegal.
Trump: "I want to let you know that United States is going to make a contribution of $10 billion to the Board of Peace." (Congress has not appropriated this money!)

Democrats hold a thin majority in the Pennsylvania House, but there are two special elections for seats they hold next week. Both districts lean blue, but if the GOP scores an upset, it'll likely gain a majority in the chamber later this spring.

‪In 2023 — the most recent data we have — just 6 undocumented immigrants were charged with breaking US laws against forced labor, sex trafficking, peonage, or slavery. SIX. (And this doesn't necessarily mean they were even convicted, just charged.)
This is even more jarring when you consider how virtually the entirety of DHS’s messaging missions rn seems to be: look at this ILLEGAL TRAFFICKER
Despite what Trump says, human trafficking is mostly a homegrown offense. 96% of ppl charged were for US citizens. Just 2% were undocumented immigrants reason.com/2026/02/19/9...

For the record, undocumented immigrants make up around 3-4% of the population. So this 2% is considerably below what you'd expect to see if immigrants and citizens trafficked humans at even the same rate.

with the 30th anniversary of Section 230, here's a profile i did of the Seattle man whose quixotic campaign against AOL in the 90s over a tasteless Oklahoma City bombing phone prank became the tech industry legal immunity precedent everyone still can't stop fighting over

The story of Section 230 goes back to an AOL troll. Now the law may be undone
A fight between a Seattle man and AOL in the 1990s led to what has been called "the most important internet law ruling ever." Decades later, the Supreme Court is weighing if Section 230 still fits.

Me: this is my favorite children’s book, it’s the only good children’s book. Never get rid of it

Let me explain what this genuinely EVIL memo does. The admin is doubling down on its plan to arrest, detain, and interrogate tens of thousands of legally present refugees; people already vetted who’ve lived here legally for 1+ year.

Hundreds were arrested in Minnesota before a court blocked this.
