Don’t think I know any but fwiw @brandyzadrozny.bsky.social is one of the best in our profession and she’s a former librarian!
Q: do you have former librarians who are switching careers? I’m wondering if there are folks who go the opposite directions from all the journalists I knew in my MLIS program in 2010-2011

Some of you may hate that I play the “I’m an Ohio educator, technically” card as much as I do but I as an adjunct journalism professor in a comparable Ohio city and as someone who lives in Ohio, had worked in Ohio as a professional journalist at multiple national publications while here, and…

There is a really annoying q that maga and right wing people do - Stephen miller does a version of this - during alleged debates where they say: ok then what is the right number for the cap for asylum and other legal immigration then?

I mean this; this is my position: whatever number those people…

Toddler: I’m so happy to be home

Me: me too there’s no place like home!

Toddler: *smiles. Gives me a high five. Goes to playing with his animal toys* but then: “well… there probably IS a place like home, we just haven’t been there yet”

I think the movie The Wrestler hit harder for me than it may have otherwise is because the marketing campaign made u think you were in for a movie that actually was about redemption

the point of this seems to be to get across the point that AOC is dumb which she clearly isn’t. It’s like arguing that John Thune is stupid; u can disagree with either of them and a normal, fair person is not gonna think they are dumb as a rock

Quoting Clay Higgins like this, that would make sense
Have you ever once seen the New York Times quote Trump like this?

A New York Times op-ed last week boasted libertarians "told you so" about Trump.

But it was only a few, since politically exiled, who saw Trump's rise and said: “You know what? I think he and a lot of his followers mean it with the racism, violence and fascism.”

(new @ms.now column)
Opinion | Libertarians warned about executive power. Only a few actually warned about Trump.
Anthony L. Fisher: A recent New York Times op-ed showed the blind spot many libertarians still have for President Donald Trump.

Great piece from author Paul Holden for Zeteo on the political shitshow in the UK:
Lies and Dirty Tricks: How the Starmer-Mandelson-McSweeney Project Was Always Doomed to Fail
Labour is hemorrhaging support, ex-chief of staff McSweeney is out, and in the most recent blow, the UK's High Court ruled Starmer's proscription of Palestine Action as a terror group was unlawful.

Still true!
Minnesota still needs your attention
This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.
