I always remember a very heart felt conversation with a gay friend back in the 80s during the AIDS crisis, his partner was dying. He said that “people don’t want us to be promiscuous but they don’t want us to marry, either.” Never have forgotten it. 💔

Then when I objected to the idea that my marriage, rights and freedoms should be sacrificed to create a "more radical queer movement," they suggested that gay people like me are the reason trans people are dying and being persecuted.

Just had an argument with someone who is disappointed that Kim Davis' attempt to overturn marriage equality failed because they wanted people like me to lose our marriages in order to galvanize "a more radical queer movement."

Why this is so damning is that it's so comprehensive that he has to engage with lots of it to prove he's a normal human. (Which he is not)
Found the tweet that Joyce Carol Oates bodied Elon Musk with and it's so beautiful in its eloquent, simple take down. So much so he's crashing out trying to prove he reads books now. Put this in the Louvre.
