I, for one, welcome our new military overlords. I'd like to remind them that, as a trusted internet troll, I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their makeshift prisons!
The U.S. military is being used inside the United States. There's a lot we don't know about how, why, and under what authorities.

Lawfare's new project–which includes a tracker and a map–follows where and how the military is being domestically deployed. www.lawfaremedia.org/projects-ser...

I don't think I was ever really in "the left," but I've added further distance in recent years because so many over there are just as crazy as those on the right. I find myself as a centrist independent, wary of the nutbirds on both sides.

“Use of pronouns have evolved throughout history.” Yes, but being berated for “misusing” them has not been a part of history.

By this reasoning, we could save more before then if we just did more. Were we bad people then because we didn’t do more? Or is this just emotional manipulation to push ah agenda?

Put up better candidates next time. They were both vile in their own ways and they did not give democrat voters an opportunity to pick a better candidate. Harris was just shoved down our throats at the last minute.
Just note that in 2024, voter turnout was 64.1% ... so fully ONE THIRD of registered US voters can't be bothered to vote .... even with early voting, mail-in voting, and same day voting.... compare that to say Germany who has 82% turnout on a single/ same-day vote. So stop complaining & just vote!!

Maybe they should support their own people rather than relying on the USA to save everyone around the world.

A Yoko Ono retrospective, “Music of the Mind,” recently arrived in Chicago after attracting large crowds in London and Germany.

The show includes films, music, drawings, sculptures, archival ephemera and sets of instructions written down on paper.

100 percent of Americans could oppose it, but it's still happening, even though it's pretty stupid. Polls like this are meant to drive pointless articles like this, not actually change anything.
Breaking news: 56 percent of Americans oppose President Trump’s demolition of the White House’s East Wing for a 90,000-square-foot ballroom, a Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll found.

Trump has claimed the project is broadly popular.

If the Chinese government would stop stealing all our designs for things, then subsidizing their own versions so they can sell them back to us at half price, we might not be in this bind.

Could be worse. It could be like the 1800s, where the kids would go work in a factory for 14 hours each day.

Add them to the long list of war crimes perpetrated by the USA. In all fairness, they were almost certainly drug boats.

One strong hurricane is not proof or evidence of a "climate crisis." There's also literally nothing we will ever willingly do to change our course because it would be ruinous for billions of people. Give up heat? Central air? Cars? Nope. No one will do that until they absolutely have to.
Hurricane Melissa could now easily come to be the strongest landfalling Atlantic Hurricane in history. A potent reminder that the climate crisis doesn't care about our feckless politicians' attempts to pretend it doesn't exist.

The US military doesn't just arbitrary doing anything of this nature. If US intelligence services claim these are drug-carrying boats, you can bet they are drug-carrying boats, in spite of all the armchair drug boat experts on social media thinking otherwise.

What role are D.C. police playing in immigration enforcement?

Residents are struggling to find out — and advocates and even some elected officials say that local lawmakers haven’t done enough to provide oversight and accountability, @maustermuhle.bsky.social reports.
