Your reminder that Brianna found comfort, community and support online, and was murdered by transphobes in a park. But it's phones which are the problem.
On Brianna's 19th birthday, this morning I joined @cheshirepcc.bsky.social and the Brianna Ghey Legacy Project Phone Free Education campaign at the launch at Jodrell Bank of a new £150k initiative to make Cheshire the first county in the UK where ALL state high schools have lockable phone pouches.

OK. Here's the thing. You just can't put on a jacket and pretend to be a security patrol in the UK. It's actually illegal. Who the actual F are these "Essex Spartans"? Government has laws and rules and they need to enforce them.

OK. If the UK shares intelligence with the USA and that intelligence gets innocent civilians in the Caribbean murdered by the US military, is this actionable in UK courts?

Asking for a friend.

Good. It's not a good thing to complicit in piracy and murder and I'd hate to see British people prosecuted for such things.

Again - this hyperpartisan outfit paid tens of millions of dollars in defamation damages, due to its false pro-Trump claims about election voting machines. Extraordinary Gibbery to interview them
It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.

What is this 'good' it supposedly does?

Robbie Gibb issue is just one case where Labour has left in place people appointed by the Tories : Arif Ahmed at OfS, Kishwer and Reindorf at EHRC. Real self-sabotage.

you're watching a movie then you see a boom mic in the reflection of a car window and all of a sudden real life hits you like a wave. You have bills. You haven't replied to your mum. Where is your birth certificate? Will you die alone??

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

Hard to imagine a more politically difficult job to do right than DG of the BBC. It was hard enough placating people with opposing interests when writing in to Points of View was the only way to complain, now everyone thinks their voice is most important and can scream it publicly it must be hell.

Maybe Keir should demand the heads of major US news networks any time they imply Britain is on the brink of civil war or that we live under sharia law. Or does it not work both ways?

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
