Incredibly sad to learn of the death of Baroness Helen Newlove. She will be an enormous loss to politics, missed by all the victims and survivors she worked so hard to support and champion, and of course most acutely by her family and friends.

May her memory forever be a blessing ❤️

On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, we will remember them.

On Brianna's 19th birthday, this morning I joined @cheshirepcc.bsky.social and the Brianna Ghey Legacy Project Phone Free Education campaign at the launch at Jodrell Bank of a new £150k initiative to make Cheshire the first county in the UK where ALL state high schools have lockable phone pouches.

“[The Home Office's stance] is ideological, not evidence-based, which is why I believe the Home Office is fundamentally incapable of dealing with drug deaths and drug harm in our communities.”

Today at PMQs, I asked the Deputy Prime Minister to pay tribute to the staff on our railways - who are often maligned in the press - for the vital role they play in keeping us all safe, from averting suicides on the rail network to dealing with emergencies like we have seen this week in Huntingdon.

Today marks a deeply significant step forward as Parliament debates the Hillsborough Law, with the families who have fought so hard for justice watching on.

I’m so proud to have helped take this forward as Minister for Victims & Violence Against Women & Girls.

Happy Halloween! I hope you've had a suitably spook-tacular time 🎃✨👻

Lovely to see the community getting in the spooky season spirit with so many amazing decorations and costumes, I've had a fang-tastic evening after work popping in to a few different events to say hello and catch up with friends!

A brilliant afternoon at the Warrington Cup Final with the juniors teams from Woolston Rovers, Culcheth Eagles, Latchford Giants & Crosfields - doing their clubs, their families and our community proud 🏆

A lovely autumnal Warrington parkrun this morning with Cllr Robin Frith! 🍁🍂🏃‍♀️

Managed exactly 60 seconds slower than my PB despite the cold I've been trying to shake off all week, which does suggest all the exercise I've been roped into recently is having a positive effect haha

Yesterday was the first statement and questions in Parliament regarding proposed plans for a Digital ID system.

I understand concerns people have both about civil liberties and data security. My main issue is that I'm not sure yet what question the proposals as they stand are the answer to.

Brilliant to see the work happening in Cheshire Police to tackle indecent exposure making the national headlines, and it being treated with the seriousness it deserves by our local force showing real results.

Some assorted scenes from a lovely few days off coinciding with the festival of Sukkot. In Judaism, Sukkot is known as "Z'man Simchateinu" (the season of rejoicing) and we are literally commanded to be happy- that's not always easy but this week it has been 🍋🌿💃
