Business leaders have warned the Chancellor to not hit industry again at the #Budget.⚠️

Last year, retail was hit with billions of additional costs which has caused higher prices, job losses and store closures.❌

❌UK footfall ↓0.7% YoY (vs -1.8% in Sept).

📈High Streets ↑0.6%, 📉Retail Parks ↓0.5%, Shopping Centres ↓0.9%. 👎

BRC CEO, Helen Dickinson, has reacted to the Bank of England's decision to hold interest rates at 4%. 🏦

The Bank noted once again that food inflation would remain elevated as a result of costs from last year's #Budget. 📈

Retail workers continue to face violence and abuse on a daily basis. SRC Director David Lonsdale spoke to the @heraldscotland.bsky.social after The Retail Trust revealed that 43% of workers said they wanted to quit their job because of abuse they have faced.👮‍♂️
