For my first piece back from vacation, I blogged about the people who moved from Texas to Russia to escape gay people and then found out living in Russia kind of sucks:

They left Texas for Russia to escape 'LGBT indoctrination.' Turns out, it sucks.
Their Texas towns had too much "DEI" and "LGBT indoctrination." So they moved to Russia and became influencers.

I know the push is always to get people more engaged with what is going on in the government, but you as a constituent should NOT have to spend your sunday panic calling your senator to beg them not to collaborate with fascists.
None of us should have to do that.

Since we’re playing chicken with people’s health care: The fact that there are subsidies to ACA premiums with any kind of expiration at all is a compromise that Republicans extracted to water ACA down in the first place. Precisely so they could have this opportunity to attack it again in the future.
If Schumer is grinning… Dems are not about to do what I want them to do.
Senate Democrats are meeting behind closed doors to discuss the emerging deal. “Stay tuned,” Schumer tells us with a grin.

Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Everything but 9. Technically it was my parents who owned the encyclopedia. (Collected a volume at a time via some special deal at the local grocery store, iirc.)
I have never done (9) (it's anti-social), (13) (Blockbuster never operated in my country), or (20) (those things were *expensive*).

I fully believe in the corporate death penalty and believe we would be a better world if OpenAI lost its corporate charter and was forcibly dissolved.

This is why, in general, I don't send donations to people running in primaries in other states. Who's the best possible Democrat to run in PA-08? I have no goddamn idea but I bet the Democrats living in PA-08 can figure it out.
Do not try and undermine the needs of a district with your attempt to get the perfect candidate elected. Tuesday is our blueprint. Run everywhere and run the best candidate for that specific district. If we do that, the Republican party’s dominance will soon be a distant nightmarish memory.

If you've got a Republican representing you, call them and tell them you blame them, and their party, for the shutdown.
Sen. Cornyn on prospects for ending the shutdown: “we’ve got a ways to go"
"Sadly, I don't see this ending soon, unless enough Democrats realize this is hurting them politically, so they basically overrule Schumer”
