Rough vibes on this website today, likely because people feel Hopeless and Helpless Because Can't Stop It and No One Who Is Supposed To Is Trying To So Now We're Fighting Each Other™. I recommend activities such as book, or potentially instrument if you like instrument, or even do talk on phone.

The bipartisan $901 billion military bill gave Trump tacit approval to attack Venezuela.
-Hours after the US seized a Venezuelan oil tanker on Dec 10, the House passed the bill.
-A day after Trump ordered a blockade, the Senate passed it.
Trump was testing Congress' tolerance for war.
Trump’s war for oil has bipartisan backing

Sometimes I think of the neurologist who told my parents that the only reason I could ever have breakthrough seizures was a) because I didnt take my meds/ b) because I was a big fatty fatso whose weight was too much for the meds when I was an epileptic kid
Always my fault.
One way or the other.

Denmark needs to get rid of the US military base in Greenland and so does the rest of Europe. They aren’t going to defend against a Russian invasion but open a secondary front line to invade you too. It’s time to kick the US out worldwide.

The thing is, it's not defective. It is functioning exactly as it's supposed to.

The issue is that a system that does what ChatGPT does WILL act in this manner as designed. It has no ability to assess the individual who provides its inputs, no understanding of what it outputs, no morals.

In my experience the people who are the most awful about and to children also are disgusted by disabled adults--and their needs and vulnerabilities. Its fundamentally an atavistic fear of dependence in a culture that fetishizes hyper individualism; and a very dangerous fear it is, too.
You don’t have to want kids or even enjoy being around them. But it’s also worth unpacking why kids simply existing, learning, or having unmet needs reads as “annoying,” “unlikeable,” or “bad behavior.”

This collective discomfort with noise, need, & vulnerability is why many ADULTS are struggling.

Yes.
And I honestly believe that even if we are childfree, we do still have a shared responsibility to ensure that public spaces are not so hostile to children as they often are in the US, etc.
