The government knew the news of Li's death would lead to an uproar. So they did one of the most shameful things ever. They would not announce his death. They pretended he was still alive. State media statements that Li had passed away were wiped. But this photo was posted. And then we all knew.

How Hollywood’s obsession with the ‘Dry Look’ harms men and boys - Healthy Debate
Increasingly distorted male beauty standards have come to celebrate visible dehydration as a physical ideal.

I’ll have been in country for ten years in August, & should have been eligible for ILR, then citizenship the day after we get married in November. I have paid in the range of £15k in visa fees since arriving, and have been in work nonstop, paying tax.

This fascist dumbass is stealing that.
Er, hello, yes, sorry, hello, we just wanted to remind you that as well as being soft on child abuse and massively corrupt, we’re also extremely racist

you know, laying off staff in the middle of a war zone while enduring a ukraine winter without power makes laying off ppl during the holidays look downright humanitarian.

billionaires shouldn’t exist.

I think people often wonder this, and it's a great question, so let me explain the advantages of 3D printing whistles. There are many.

The 3D printing effort started from one of our organizers who started by sourcing mass-produced whistles.
I mean, are they really cheaper or easier to produce than just sourcing the right thing from a mass distributor? it's sweet but doesn't seem Pareto efficient, and I feel like that's important to the revolution

I agree. Might be easier to think of it this email: we got Epstein’s emails (not even all of them.) Imagine if we had the correspondence of other powerful people. We’d see similar things.

We live in a system that has created these people, and Epstein wasn’t unique in that regard.
Not accusing Mark of this – he’s pointing out the same thing – but there’s a real trend of turning “Epstein mentioned X in an email” into “Epstein was the mastermind behind X”. Dates, chronology, reality, be damned.

Most bad things in the last decade weren’t all down to him. Sorry.
We're getting dangerously close to just pinning everything wrong with the world on Epstein...

A bunch of people on this site want to cosplay like it’s Hong Kong in 2019 without understanding that as many as 25% of Hong Kong residents attended a single march and the government was worried about losing an election where popular opinion had to be nearly 80% in opposition to the government.

Louise, an archaeologist and digital creator (who's here at @louisearchaeology.bsky.social), contacted the British Museum and asked them what had happened on social media. (I think it was on Instagram.) "Instead of responding, they unfollowed me".
The British Museum reportedly posted AI slop images depicting an Asian influencer viewing the exhibitions. The digital character is linked to a Hong Kong-based marketing company.

An entire political movement founded on uncovering hidden messages in documents to discover the powerful secret pedophiles and meanwhile the powerful pedophiles out here sending gmails saying "Hi fellow pedophile when are we meeting to do pedophilia again"
Disgusting.

In an email on Sept. 11, 2013, Mr. Richard Branson, founder of the Virgin Group, wrote to Mr. Epstein, “It was really nice seeing you yesterday.” He added: “Any time you’re in the area would love to see you. As long as you bring your harem!”

Great guide from @sarahjeong.bsky.social, and also fully co-sign this point: being teargassed sucks so much the first time but it's amazing how quickly you get used to it, hence massively diminishing returns for law enforcement as a crowd control method.

Private Eye have, incidentally, never apologized to anywhere near the extent necessary for their role in promoting this.
I don't exaggerate when I say that Andrew Wakefield should be tried for mass murder. We'll never know how many people have died or will die as a direct result of his fraudulent study.
This is the large domino, with the small domino being some random quack in the UK in 1998 trying to undermine the existing MMR vaccine so his business partner can swoop in with his own. Instead he lost his work credentials and now kids are dying needlessly all over the world, so great job everyone.
