I’ve been writing an essay that includes a discussion of the obsession that Israeli settlers have with destroying olive trees. By coincidence I found a video from 3 days ago of them doing that again.

The broad vibe shift against an organization like AIPAC is good overall and indicates something serious in the underlying direction of the Democratic base but I think, and have for a long time now thought, it was always a bit too simplistic to chalk up the pro-Israel consensus *to* AIPAC et al.

Just think of what’s required for a paper to even think of asking something this obscene and stupid. They can’t even imagine how someone would just care about children as much as Ms Rachel does.

Davie did everything he could to go after leftwing politics. He axed The Mash Report and censored the Gaza documentary among other things.

But the fact that he is resigning due to Trumpist pressure is incredibly concerning. This country is being more and more captured by the American regime.
Be clear, the American far right are coming for British democracy.

My latest is a love letter to Chicago. "I see you stumbling through the stubborn, awkward rhythm of showing up, again and again. I see you fighting alongside people who sometimes frustrate and confuse you, and defending neighbors you may have never met, because you know they’re all your people."

Mamdani cited ppl like Amos Goldberg. It doesn’t matter. He can go to Tel Aviv and wave the Israeli flag and he will still be suspicious.

The fact that he gives a shit about Palestinians is what makes him guilty in the eyes of those who have committed themselves to Israel’s genocide
Seen some contrarians say that Zohran should visit Israel and meet with "left wing Israeli Jews who share his vision" (who?) but do these people realize that Mamdani wouldn't be allowed into the country or the occupied territories in the first place?

No one remembers the Tlaib and Omar issue?
