I didn’t know until now that in the original Rosie the Riveter painting, she is crushing a copy of Mein Kampf under her foot. Happy feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, remembering all the women who crush the serpents of Satan under their heel.

the nick shirley thing pisses me off because it's changed the narrative so much that people don't understand that the fraud problem *is years old*. The prosecutions for Feeding Our Future are well underway. Reforms (some worth critiquing!) are already happening and have been happening for awhile.

The main issue with Taiwanese nationalism is that its current form is largely still new, unformed , lacks a majority, and is still heavily derived both demographically and culturally from China. Also the general issue is that the Austronesian do not take a place of importance within this structure.
