I didn’t have a sports name, but when I was an engineer for NASA people called me “smokejumper” because I jumped Into the middle of metaphorical fires
okay, for real, there is nothing stranger than returning to your home town and encountering your former teammates as adults (I played football. I was terrible at it.) call you by your football-name, some 17 years after the fact
When I talk about people from this website, I call them by their last name like I’m a coach because I’m pretty sure no one here has played sports before, and I want to give you that experience

this is obviously illegal and it won't happen, but at what point does federalism stop being a real thing?
