one thing I had forgotten from my previous pastorate is how roller coastery ministry can be: one minute we’re celebrating new members in our church, the next I’m at a bedside praying for a dying person, the next I’m in my office pouring over the Greek and the commentaries for next week’s Scriptures

since our family has five individuals in it, the President has proposed $10k in a dole directly to us, and I’m trying to imagine how that doesn’t wreck absolute havoc systematically
(I would probably invest most of it into savings.)
