For me, the spirit of advent begins on Halloween, so spooky sacred advent music may begin. Fall decorations stay all November. Christmas/winter decorations and music may begin in December and stay until candlemas. (Still work shopping my ideal timeframe for live tree/greenery)

I just learned about comprehensible input for language acquisition and now I feel a little less bad that after finishing greek and hebrew at seminary I can only translate it but still can't read it. Which sucks but like that's what we're set up to do I guess

On storygraph I often don't add certain books as "currently reading" and just go straight to "read" when I'm done, but it kinda sucks that books added like that don't end up in my "recently read" section

I read this in college and am reading it again for a class. Very much in the Reformed™ canon but I'm already noticing how this book has influenced me. It's probably culpable for forming me into the universal reconciliationist I am today

I moved 6 hours away this summer. I still miss home but I think Missoula is better for me, at least right now. And it's very beautiful too :)
