FWIW, it would be very difficult for a Democrat to win statewide in S.C. It lacks a major urban hub on the level of Atlanta or Phoenix or Charlotte.

People talk about what should be the first-in-the-nation primary, but honestly, hard to beat Michigan:
-Union state
-Detroit has a large Black population
-Swingy suburbs
-More racially and ethnically diverse than Iowa or New Hampshire

One of the most annoying tics in American political discussion: equating class/income level with education level. It's how we talk about HVAC repairmen or car dealers who vote for Trump as "working-class" or "Middle Class" rather than upper-middle class or upper-class.

Correct: Many teachers have two degrees and they all need at least one but we tend to think of them as upper-middle class when oftentimes, they make a pittance.
