When I check on the British politics page for @the-independent.com, my politics reporter colleagues are all Epstein all the time (as they should be). But in the U.S., the closest thing to accountability is... Bill Clinton testifying before Congress.

It just feels that when people say things like that they're trying to say "oh, Reagan's views would fit right into the Democratic Party today" which is total nonsense. It's like the whole "Democrats would be right-wing in Europe" and shit like that. Internent folk belief!

Just heard back from DHS on why they abruptly expedited Ramos' asylum hearing:
“These are regular removal proceedings. This is standard procedure and there is nothing retaliatory about enforcing the nation’s immigration laws. He will receive full due process."
