Nina Turner being so bizarrely focused on opposing gerrymandering that she forgets there's no such thing as Senate gerrymandering is fascinating

the upside of RFK being Secretary of Health means we're inventing new types of brainworms every day

it's very funny that the vibecession is happening to Trump except it's actually his fault because he made the specific, explicit promise to lower nominal prices and then did tariffs for no reason

might be getting psyopped into buying ARC Raiders

it's so funny that Facebook changed their entire company name to Meta and now they don't give a fuck about the metaverse concept at all

bro really went all in on that idea right before AI took off
November 10, 2025 at 10:35 PM
lmfao i hadn't realized until now that OpenAI has altogether promised 1.5 trillion in compute spending

that's Trillion with a T

brother i don't think the pornbot subscriptions are gonna get you there

no i do not think a yearly pair of sneakers and MLB tickets is the bare minimum and taking on student loans to get a college degree is a very good financial decision in the vast majority of cases
do you not think it's important for poor people to be able to, at a minimum, take vacations, go to sporting events, have good footwear, and not be drowning in debt for education?
November 10, 2025 at 6:24 PM
thinking on it more, by far the craziest thing about those eight Dems choosing to cave last night is that they literally only had to wait one more day to wait for more court rulings on SNAP benefits

re-opening before that decision is made is just incredibly dumb i don't understand

A large share of politics coded as “left” on this site is in fact reactionary nostalgia - an inchoate belief that times were better in the good old days and nebulous forces have taken that from us.

i know i'm the "right-wingers are obsessed with cuck porn" guy but the problem here is essentially political cuckoldry

there are an unfortunate number of Senate Dems who think bipartisanship for bipartisanship's sake is a virtue and are ideologically committed to the act of compromising
a big problem for Democrats in general is that moderation on policy and temperament are pretty strongly correlated

things would be so much better if there were a bunch of politicians who can win swing-state seats and also don't give a fuck about the filibuster

here Lucy, hold this football for me
King: So I believe that we are closer tonight to a vote on the ACA tax credits than we were this morning. This agreement tonight is a win for the American people.

lol. lmao.

all the J6 fake elector people are getting pardons btw lol

locking this in now so it doesn't count as hypocrisy in the future

rn it's a bad deal but if Senate Dems legit lock in for another shutdown in February then it retroactively becomes more acceptable, it all depends on whether the game theory here is iterated or not
the only calculus i would accept for this deal is if it's a gambit to fund SNAP such that another shutdown fight in February has lower stakes

problem is that this is entirely contingent on Senate Dems having the balls to do another shutdown fight which uh, idk

do you think dentists today are poor and downtrodden lol
Thanks I mean that’s my whole point. He literally could be wealthy enough off of a dentists salary in a small florida town to own a house and a boat.
ok cool you had rich grandparents what does that have to do with anything

i'm going to be cursed to see this link spammed for the rest of time, but just so everyone knows what the deal is:

these guys at LISEP literally only exist to make up numbers to say the economy is bad, that's their entire full-time job

Most Americans don't earn enough to afford basic costs of living, analysis finds
The bottom 60% of U.S. households don't make enough money to afford a "minimal quality of life," according to a new analysis.

November 10, 2025 at 2:50 AM
lmao citing this stupid LISEP report

these guys literally just exist to make up numbers to prove the economy is bad, that's their only purpose in life

their "true rate of unemployment" is basically just adding 20% to the normal unemployment rate
November 10, 2025 at 2:28 AM
ok cool you had rich grandparents what does that have to do with anything
my grandparents owned a house, 2 cars, and a boat, and raised 4 kids on a single income
the stuff is better than your grandparents could possibly imagine and more people are buying it than ever before

can't wait to see ten trillion tweets with ten trillion likes complaining about the vague concept of the Democratic Party instead of the eight people who actually voted for this
