I see there’s been some kind of Bluesky debate over Being Visible at the Protest or whatever, but idk, I just saw hundreds of people having an absolute blast unmasked at my local protest so I’m getting the sense this is mostly an Internet Controversy and not a real one
There were in the ballpark of 800 to 900 people at the protest in San Juan Capistrano today, which is a town of about 35,500 people - really amazing turnout.

and demographically it was *everyone* - kids, teens, adults, old people.

“Under typical circumstances, DOJ would reserve such extreme maneuvers for the direst of emergencies. The need to placate a braying mob of X posters desperate to see Lemon in chains does not constitute an emergency.”

The Case Against Don Lemon Is Junk, and Dangerous
If the Cities Church case falls apart, it will not be the first such embarrassment for Trump’s Justice Department.

I think Epstein loved being in proximity to children of powerful people almost as much as he liked abusing children who were less protected. I think that's what's being negotiated here. I think Lutnick knows this too

The worst interpretation of this almost certainly isn't what's going on, but everyone involved is flirting with it
But the new Epstein files show a series of subsequent interactions. That included this email from Lutnick about bringing his family and others to visit Epstein at his private island, Little St. James.

I would put money on the the White House/DHS/DOJ having had whether they could arrest @whstancil.bsky.social on the agenda of at least one meeting.
two sources with knowledge of the situation tell @zeteo.com some officials in Trump’s DOJ actually explored if certain instances of anti-ICE activists blowing whistles in Minnesota could be used as evidence in criminal prosecutions of those who “obstruct” operations... zeteo.com/p/don-lemon-...

Again Will is a left wing civil rights lawyer whose worst sin is stubbornness and whose greatest virtue is also stubbornness. That he has been transformed into a demon in the minds of losers is evidence of how pathetically inadequate their vision of actual wickedness is.

In case it needs to be said,

I do not think Donald Trump engaged in a pedophile conspiracy with Jeffrey Epstein because of anonymous phone tips.

I think Donald Trump engaged in a pedophile conspiracy with Jeffrey Epstein because Jeffrey Epstein was Donald Trump's best friend.

okay to time give credit to Senate Democrats because they actuallly did something here, at least rhetorically
Very important vote. It makes repealing ICE surge funding the mainstream position in the party, with bipartisan support.
👀 Every Senate Democrat + Collins and Murkowski just voted for the Bernie Sanders amendment to repeal the $75 billion in additional ICE funding under Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” The measure failed 49-51.

"Why keep wearing the chains when you've broken the lock?" is a killer line
The wildest are the ones who are like “i have him blocked but…” and then go on to opine at length about his supposed opinions or ideology all the time . Why keep wearing the chains when you’ve broken the lock??

I think it's important to understand this particular flavor of reactionary leftism (whether it's sincere in this case or not) as basically akin to reactionary centrism, in that it is only superficially about policy or ideology and is much more about the importance/comfort of the person espousing it

This is a different Trump cabinet member then the one who gave Epstein the unbelievable sweetheart plea deal where he was basically on work release the whole time
This new file released appears to show Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick discussing visiting Epstein's island in 2012.

Lutnick previously claimed that he cut off ties around 2005 with Epstein after being revolted by him.

Oh we're doing Epstein tip calls now.

Two things to remember here.

First, they're pure bullshit because 90% of tipline calls are pranks or by people who get off on making them.
Second, every single one about a Republican, no matter how anatomically or temporally impossible, is true.
