I’ve told this story multiple times but Bowie, MD was the first time I saw a fully thriving Black middle class. You had Black people shopping at Wegmans and strip malls. Federal employment offered a path to the middle class for Black people in PG County. DOGE basically wipes out that opportunity.
I’m telling you, everything this administration does is designed to completely destroy the pathways low income people have to reach the middle class

Do you ever think about how in sci fi, space forces often have navy ranks and traditions, but in real life it’s always army because they come from air forces? What do you think happened in the history of all these fictional space forces that made them turn into space navies?

I’ve been meaning to write this up but the reason they’re destroying norms so fast is also the reason they’re so bad at it: they’re copying characters they saw on a screen. Stephen Miller isn’t Goebbels, he’s a guy who is trying to play the Goebbels role he’d spent years practicing in a mirror.
Like trying to drift a car on the street & being surprised when they hit a curb. These guys didn't put in the work, because the whole reason they're these guys is because they can't or won't put in the work
