Just remembering how one of the most important and widely read and dropped-with-maximally-damaging-timing "Biden is old and senile" pieces was reported by Nuzzi. It makes you think!
well, I read it, and the salient, non-gross part is Lizza alleging, midsentence and without elaboration, that Nuzzi ran numerous “catch-and-kill operations” on RFK’s behalf, which would give her a role in both his appointment and the untold preventable deaths he has abetted in office. Cool.

If a new D president doesn’t name a Special Counsel to investigate these crimes and fumigate the Pentagon by 1pm on Inauguration Day, that D president will be a failure.
On the patently unlawful boat strikes

It's hard for USGs to claim ‘mistake of law’ or ‘advice of counsel’ – when they’re firing lawyers who wouldn't sign off on the strikes.

WaPo's new revelations on firings or removals:

1) CIA General Counsel
2) NSC Legal Adviser
3) CIA Mission Center’s lawyer

White House blew past legal concerns in deadly strikes on drug boats
The Trump administration sidestepped skeptical lawyers across national security agencies as it pursued a military campaign against alleged narcotraffickers, officials say.

speaking as a virginia beach native if these kind of dudes are plotting against ICE then there is wide runway in public opinion for straight up abolishing the agency under a dem presidency

Cool another institution we are going to have to purge.
They are literally firing all the judges they think might grant relief. They just fired a friend of mine a couple hours ago. They have no shame. The bastards want an assembly line for deportations and nothing more; rubber-stamping bootlickers who’ll yes’sir at every new diktat to deny.
Instead of hiring more immigration judges, the Department of Justice just posted an ad for "deportation judges." join.justice.gov

She is the median *Senate* voter I fear
She is angry at Republicans for both not deporting enough people and for trying to kill Obamacare.

States drawn fairly randomly in the 18th/19th century having more entitlement to representation than the modern people who live under different geographic conditions is ridiculous.
Federalism, by definition, does not care about giving votes equal weight, it cares about balancing the power among members of the federal union.

American schools *do* teach civics, but everyone flunks it now
This is the definition of the slippery slope fallacy.

Arguing that votes should be given equal weight regardless of geography does not equate to arguing that states should not exist.

This whole thing where Republicans do obviously illegal thing, get blocked by a lower court and then SCOTUS says "well the real victims here are the GOP so they can keep doing said illegal thing while we think real hard" is getting extremely tiresome.

Then Midgley developed polio and was found strangled to death by a machine he invented to help him move from bed.

What a life, what a legacy.
Once in a while you should remember there's a guy who invented leaded gasoline and a guy who invented CFCs and they're the same guy.
