one little thing here is "let him see his kids" versus "let his kids see him". their concern is not that the children are being harmed but that they are being deprived of access to someone who is rightfully "theirs"
They’re calling it the most divorced anyone has ever been

the thing about this is that if you want your phone to remember your licence plate there's already an app for that called "notes"
Every example of ai being useful begins with "okay imagine you're in a situation, and you are very dumb"

the thing about something like "invading Greenland" or "cancelling midterms" or "invoking the insurrection act" is that while Trump could *try* those things, and even trying would cause enormous chaos, that does not mean they would *work* or he would win

this is only because no one has tried my proposal: mandatory classes for babies to make them more fun to hang out with
the thing is these are good things for their own sake but they do not actually work to increase the birthrate, as the European experience largely shows. pretty much nothing increases the birthrate that we've found so far, whether good welfare state stuff or natalist nationalism and anti-choice shit.
leftist plan to increase the birthrate:

- universal health care
- free child care
- better paid family leave
- better workforce protections so they can't lay you off while you're pregnant and be like "no it was for something else i swear"

ok i did it

"what you think you're better than me just because you think it's bad when armed agents of the state kill a woman in front of her wife"

yes? I do? I feel like obviously I should?
I have a bizarre fascination with people who constantly seek the validation of people they hate. They e conditioned themselves for social disapproval while basically despising the concept of social approval altogether.

Just ease immigration for 18-30 year olds.
Nobody really wants to hear this but the only even remotely palatable solutions to the "birthrate crisis" involve penciling in substantial technological change: artificial wombs, at least somewhat automated childcare, etc

solving birth rates is very simple: children per woman is below replacement, but only because it assumes heterosexual relationships. we must engineer women who produce both sperm and eggs and who are all gay

one of the smarter things that Miller has done is understand that personnel is policy, and by taking the federal law enforcement apparatus away from legitimate police work to odious but legal work you are attriting the people that non-fascists want in those places when the illegal orders come

this is also how you should think about the boat strike war crimes imo: a small evil that gets the people uncomfortable with those things out of the ranks in preparation for a greater one.
