This doesn’t seem surprising given how little opposition US forces on the ground faced. The question is to what degree their military can or will put their thumb on the scale.

The thing about Venezuela is it’s ~2,000 miles away so you can escape the immediate consequences of war. Mexico is not.

My extreme unpopular opinion hot take is that there is a path for all of this to 'work out' because there is more or less already a Venezuelan shadow government in Gonzalez and Machado. Who whatever they are or might become, are not currently Chalabi nor Karzai.

You do this to try to save the Hispanic vote, the lynchpin of your 2024 victory. And this probably buys you some time with them. But if you’re still sending ICE to their door it doesn’t matter.

It should be relatively easy to ban these kind of images from the free version. Usually requiring an email and credit card for the paid version dissuades anybody with a brain from using it to generate CSAM.
For the last few days on X, people (mainly women, and sometimes children) have had nonconsensual images of them in swimsuits (or much worse) requested by users and created by Grok.

Paying a toll isn’t oppression, it might be overpriced but it’s not oppression. Your free government road was and always will be paid for by taxes and usage fees, you just don’t see the dollar amount count up as you drive on them.
Since rural America has gotten populated by grumpy old conservatives they expect public resources to exist fee and tax-free. This is never how public resources work and it’s the reason rural America has them increasingly in short supply.
