Sounds weird to people, but DSA got me working with Democrats. Not that I was an anti-electoral person, I still voted, but I definitely had a “pity these fools, unserious” mentality. But then I checked out more vanguard/revolutionary left groups, found them even *less* serious, and Met In the Middle
there's an argument (one i find convincing) that boils down to dsa being an independent faction of the democratic party, just no one wants to admit it because it would be ideologically inconvenient
