To clarify, I certainly don't think military service is a prerequisite for serving as a politician or for a politician to exercise effective control over the military. I'd love to see someone as sharp as AOC bring the Pentagon to heel. But to my eye, that isn't really a Dem priority
I don't live in NY-17 and I don't know anything about this race

One of the very few complaints I have about Maryland (specifically the DC burbs) is the relative scarcity of really good BBQ spots. We have joints that are fine, but nothing that will fundamentally reshape how you view the universe*

If there are HASC/SASC staffers reading this, please try to convince your bosses that allowing active duty military officers to post wildly partisan shit, loudly and frequently, is an existential threat
