Time for another heterosexual journalist ethics panel.

When will editors finally have industry wide standards for a culture that celebrates and valorizes ephebophilia

But have you considered how this would make Maureen Dowd feel about her neighbors let alone the people she shares a co-op board with?
Without ICE we'd be reduced to the lawless and barbaric anarchy of *checks notes* the early 2000s
"Abolish the Police and then what?" while infantile and often asked in bad faith, is at least, on some levels, a real question

"Ablish ICE and then what?" Is not a real question. Clearly if ICE didn't exist tomorrow society would just objectively be more peaceful and would not in any way fall apart

It’s a real shame that Chuck Schumer has 65 Senate votes and Hakeem Jeffries has 275 house votes and they refused to do what is popular ism according to the three most mediocre cocaine enthusiasts in a 2 mile radius of Fort Green.
74% of Democrats support abolishing ICE, with 53% *strongly* supporting it, according to YouGov polling from last month.

Weak calls for "reform" are coming from *elected* Democrats like Chuck, not the average Democratic voter.
Democrats want commonsense reform for ICE:

End the roving patrols and racial profiling.

Take accountability and abide by the same rules as local police.

Masks need to come off, body cameras need to stay on—no secret police in the United States of America.

I see we had to deny US service members gender affirming care so we could go to one and a half billionaires who otherwise could not afford it for themselves and their recently upgraded mistresses

This is a lot of words to just say that straight white men are having impotence problems and are trying to rape the country back into making them feel confident.

that noted @theatlantic.com columnist David Brooks promises is over the mountain on the other side of Epstein Island, where he met his second wife.

Is THIS the moment where moderate pro- American leaders in the heterosexual community finally have enough bravery for the urgent but inevitable “Sister Souljah” moment…
Fucking surreal that people dressed like this and carrying assault rifles are permitted to kidnap people off our streets

Look if there’s one thing I’ve learned from listening to Tara Westover getting interviewed is that this is the only way to assuage real Americans’ economic anxiety, and the rest of us just have to tolerate that fact, and thank them for the opportunity.

It always was. You just weren’t paying attention.

I didn’t realize this is how the boys were describing their romantic foibles these days.

She doesn’t officially drink because someone else has locked down that kind of brand pre awareness, so it can be in their Harvard IOP application
NANCY MACE: I don't drink because if I did it could kill me

If we include non-fiction it would’ve been Walzer’s “Revolution of the Saints” or “Parting the Waters.”

This is also the right timeframe for me to read both Naguib Mahfouz and Albert Cossery without translation

Though this is the right period for me to fall in love with Jo Walton’s “Farthing” and Mitford’s “Whigs on the Green.”

Otherwise, it was certainly an Alan Furst novel or one of the Terry Pratchett novels I carried in my bags on study abroad and read and reread.

As in a novel that I read that year or as in book that I had read that I would rank relatively highly? It may have been “Cavalier and Klay” even though I had read that c. 2004, or one of the Pat Barker books.

When will moderate pro- American leaders in the heterosexual community speak up and do something about the pathologies and excesses in their culture that led directly to this

I’m trying to think of other historical figures who instigated blood libel violence in the New York Times would give this Vaseline focused soft touch.
As an influencer, Nick Shirley had struggled to expand his reach. But after a missionary trip pushed him to try a new approach, he caused a sensation with a video claiming to expose fraud at Somali-run day care centers in Minnesota. nyti.ms/45GzJi4

Schumer: "Why are some Republicans speaking so loudly trying to defend masked, secret police? ... one other very important point: since the death of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, nothing meaningful has changed about ICE's abuses."

We need to ask if the heterosexual community can ever respect the sanctity of marriage the a WeHo muscle daddy, a twink, and their friend who joins them on the weekend can.
this might sound bad. but if you look into the story it's actually much, much worse prospect.org/2022/04/08/h...

FARC was finally dismantled when the Colombians (& Americans, in a rare foreign policy W) started more or less asking this question of the guerillas themselves and reacting accordingly.
once again these things boil down to “is your group a bohemian cultural identity” or “is your group actually trying to do things?” and the key tell is whether your activity centers on policing of in-group behavior or whether it centers on, again, tangible goals
