You know I love Mamdani. But this is a Schumer post. Please announce some kind of sanction against NYU Langone and/or some specific help for trans kids. Concern is not enough.
This is yet another example of a private institution capitulating to the federal government’s assault on transgender rights. In the face of these attacks, New York City will continue to be a refuge for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Not the point, but look how shabby it is. Crinkled edges. Too shiny, reflecting light in a way that diminishes its effect. Amateur-hour ropes along the sides, crappy, temporary looking strap around the column holding it in place.

Like everything this administration does: Trash.

"tapering plans" for HRT is a death sentence if you've had gender-affirming surgeries, like I have with my orchi, because your body will just wither away and die without hormones. Unspeakable evil. Demonic shit. You don't hate these motherfuckers enough.
BREAKING: Trump admin issues new policy aimed at ending transgender-related care in federal prisons.

"It's a really dangerous policy,” an ACLU lawyer representing trans people in federal prison suing the Trump administration tells Law Dork of the new Bureau of Prisons policy.

There was a huge turnout at @bradlander.bsky.social volunteer kickoff tonight! Indivisible BK was there to support him, just as he’s been there to support us since our start. We need a fighter in NY-10 & Brad is the one. Join us in collecting signatures & knocking doors for him!

If you care about NYC, you should be following @bdlimm.bsky.social.
Proposed cuts to libraries, parks, CUNY, housing + health, while keeping NYPD + Corrections intact; proposed real property tax increases disproportionately affecting Black owners + most tenants; homeless encampment sweeps.

Why is Z proposing these regressive measures, and how best can we respond? 🧵
NYC Parks: 0.57% of budget → projected to drop to 0.46% by 2030. NYC Libraries: 0.39% of expense budget vs 0.5% pledge.
Mayor Mamdani’s first budget leaves big gaps between campaign promises and spending reality. My latest —>

In sum:

1️⃣ Fight the proposed NYC budget cuts.
2️⃣ Oppose the sweeps.
3️⃣ ID Z as the primary target.
4️⃣ ID the Council as secondary targets.
5️⃣ ID Hochul as the direct cause of the cuts.
6️⃣ Help our Assembly challengers win.
7️⃣ Apportion your anger at Z in proportion to the degree of power he actually has.

Though Hochul no longer has a primary challenger, we can still help construct a political majority to #TaxTheRich this year by winning our Assembly primaries.

By shifting the Assembly's political center of gravity this year, we'll improve TTR's chances of success next year.

Today we are launching a new intitative of Stand With Minnesota—KeepMNHoused.com, a rent-relief campaign backed with a $1.5 matching fund from the Wilson Foundation.

Thousands of MN families are at risk of eviction because of the ICE occupation’s lasting impacts. We can keep them housed.
