Schumer’s office just released a photo of him with the deal to reopen government.

Last night, the Trump Administration sent a letter suggesting Wisconsin should return our FoodShare payments.

Honestly, people have mispronounced it so many ways so many times, it’s not a big deal at all to me. I take no offense at any pronunciation.
How do you want it pronounced?
November 10, 2025 at 12:53 AM
I am honestly OK with either, but I always appreciate when someone groks the proper Slovak pronunciation.
I was today old when I learned how to properly pronounce your name. Well, maybe not - which pronunciation do you use?

Yes.

7,000+ aircraft lost in the European theatre of operation alone.

Books like “Masters of the Air” really bring the horror home.
This is "only" US aircraft lost flying from UK bases.

Total losses in all the theatres of operation was huge.

Each silhouette representing the aircraft type lost.

Have not.

Must.
Have you seen the wall at Cullodon? One rock for everyone dead at English hands.
At first I assumed each engraving for a lost aviator.

When I realized each was for a lost bomber or fighter, I was taken aback.

Slovakia. It translates to “Smithson.”

Americans pronounce it with a hard “C” - “Koval-IK.”

The Slovak pronunciation is “Kovalich.”
@muskratjohn.bsky.social Thanks to a crosswired thought, I just spent half an hour researching your Serbian-feeling last name. Care to shed some light on your heritage? I'm utterly confused.

I mean, a bit of both, really.

(I actually meant “blithe.”) (#typoshappne)

Drove past a van from a company called ECONOMY EXTERMINATORS and my first thought was yes, Trump and company certainly are doing their best at that.

I mean, when you have a B-17 Flying Fortress, a B-29 Super Fortress, a B-52 Stratofortress, and a SR-71 Blackbird in one room, to say nothing of more than a dozen or more other aircraft, it all becomes rather difficult to take in…
November 9, 2025 at 10:54 PM
I did. It was stunning and hit hard.
Did you get as far as the USAF memorial? One etched silhouette for each lost aircraft; it's incredible. (Can't find one of my own photos right now, had to grab one off of the US Memorial site.)

And mine of “Ted Lasso.”
That was my favourite episode of How I Met Your Mother.

A Hurricane replica. I adore that it was mounted at the museum’s entrance like any WWII gaming aircraft mini, ready for a 1:1 scale game of “Blood Ted Skies.”

My sister and I caught the crisp morning’s Remembrance Sunday service at RAF Duxford, which we were visiting anyway. It was quiet, powerful, and poignant.

The military band accompanied the hymns, and played the blithering recessional (at the Royal Anglian/East Anglian regimental memorial).

IT’S A QUACK!!!

Ummm…I mean…”TRAP!!!”
Hm, yeah, for once when it comes to ducks, I’ll agree with you there!

Perhaps what you need for your bike rides is a John Kovalic-headed duck…?

The End Times are upon us!
Duck World has ducks, but do they have the abomination that is the Gorton's Fisherman Duck hybrid?

I actually like the change.

I miss working with editors.
They made me change 'fetish gear' to 'fancy lingerie,' curse it! :)

I’d put “My Aim is True” behind the likes of “Imperial Bedroom and “Get Happy,” but this is actually a pretty solid list…
