Husband to Kathy, lifelong educator, Euchre and bobblehead enthusiast, and 46th Governor of the State of Wisconsin.

Every year, I visit all 72 counties at least once because I want to meet Wisconsinites where they’re at—homes, schools, farms, businesses, hospitals, and everywhere in between. And every day, I learn something new.

I can’t wait to do it again in 2026.
Have you ordered your Blackout or Retro butter yellow plates yet?

These new plates showcase our Wisconsin heritage AND help support our state’s infrastructure so we can keep fixing the darn roads. That's a win-win, folks!

From skyrocketing healthcare costs to chaotic trade wars, chaos in D.C. is making life harder for families, farmers, veterans, and seniors across our state. I heard from folks in La Crosse who are feeling the effects firsthand.

There's more we can do to help—let's get it done.

Every kid of every ability deserves the best education and the best teachers possible.

Thank you, @baldwin.senate.gov, for always fighting for our kids.

Thanks to President Trump's mass firings, Wisconsin lost 2,400 federal workers last year—these folks took care of our veterans, supported our farmers and producers, served our communities and our country, and so much more. It’s reckless and wrongheaded.

How many federal workers has Wisconsin lost under the Trump administration?
The Department of Veterans Affairs saw the steepest cuts in Wisconsin.

While you’re getting ready for the Super Bowl, remember that Trump’s tariff taxes made your day WAY more expensive.

Folks in Wausau are worried. They're worried about being able to afford their healthcare and medications, worried about finding child care for their kids, and worried about costs that are already high going up even further.

We must do more to help families make ends meet.

From growing up in the Cheese Capital of the World to my first job at a cheese plant to now serving as governor of America's Dairyland, dairy is in my DNA. Simple as that.

Step 1.) Start an unnecessary trade war.
Step 2.) Make Americans pay the tariffs.
Step 3.) Lose out on thousands of U.S. jobs.

Prices on everyday items like coffee and ground beef have skyrocketed since December 2024.

Don’t need to tell that to Wisconsin's working families, who've been worried about footing the bill for President Trump's reckless and chaotic trade wars from the get-go—they already know.
February 7, 2026 at 3:53 PM
Paychecks aren't going as far as they used to. That's why my plan will help folks keep more of their hard-earned money by eliminating the sales tax on basic family needs and everyday household items like:
💊 medications
🧸 diapers
🪥 toothpaste
🧴 sunscreen
and more!

Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing—you name it, folks come from all over to Wisconsin to do it!

Winter recreation is not only fun, it’s a major economic driver of local and statewide economies. I've been proud to support this critical industry as governor.

BREAKING: We uncovered 1,656 violations of child labor and wage payment laws in the largest determination of child labor and wage payment violations in modern Wisconsin history.

We are committed to cracking down on fraud and abuse impacting our workers, most especially our kids.

Winter sports are our specialty here in Wisconsin, so it's no surprise several Wisconsinites will be competing in the 2026 Winter Olympics!

Good luck, Team USA! 🇺🇸

Kathy and I were honored to receive the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin's Leadership and Champion Awards.

This issue has always been near and dear to our hearts. Together, we must continue our fight to raise awareness, support caregivers, and #EndAlz.

President Trump wants to run our elections? No thanks.

Wisconsin has safe and secure elections, and I trust our local clerks, election officials, and poll workers to continue doing this important work.

Costs are going up and families are struggling, so I joined folks in Altoona to talk about my plans to lower everyday out-of-pocket costs, including eliminating sales tax on household items, preventing property tax increases, and cutting healthcare and prescription drug prices.
February 5, 2026 at 3:27 AM
My plan would make healthcare more affordable and more accessible for working families by:
💊 Preventing prescription drug price gouging
💵 Capping the copay for insulin at $35
🩺 Requiring more services to be covered by insurance
🧾 Cracking down on insurers and surprise billing

This president is overseeing health care price increases for over 20 million Americans. To make matters worse, his alleged “health care plan” does nothing to fix this crisis. He owns this.

President Trump’s decision to try and dismantle the Department of Education was about as dumb as ideas come.

And, guess what—it was not only bad for our kids and our schools, it also cost taxpayers tens of millions of dollars. So much for “cutting waste.” 🤡

Working families are worried about the cost of groceries and prices going up.

And one thing is clear: President Trump isn’t doing anything to help.

Kathy and I are always glad to host our annual reception celebrating #BlackHistoryMonth at the Executive Residence with so many outstanding leaders from across our state.

We are stronger when we celebrate diversity, celebrate Black stories and culture, and work together.

Making sure kids, families, and seniors are fed must be a top priority, especially as Republicans make it harder for folks to access basic food assistance.

I joined leaders at the Hunger Task Force in La Crosse to hear about their work and help sort donations with volunteers.
February 3, 2026 at 10:57 PM
The fact President Trump spent half a billion in taxpayer dollars deploying the National Guard last year while working families and seniors struggle to afford groceries and healthcare coverage costs skyrocket tells you about his priorities—and lowering costs isn't one of 'em.
February 3, 2026 at 7:09 PM
Under the previous administration, kids at Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake Schools were abused, sexually assaulted, and confined for long periods of time, prompting court-required oversight of the institutions.

From the get-go, as governor, I've been working to change that.
February 3, 2026 at 2:57 PM
I hear it all the time: between tariff taxes and skyrocketing healthcare costs, things are simply not affordable, and paychecks aren't going as far as they used to.

My plan will help lower everyday out-of-pocket costs for working families, so let's make it happen.
