rainy new year’s eve here. normally my neighborhood would sound like a shooting range, fireworks blazing all over. i actually like the chill quiet night (plus no fire risk & less anxiety, dogs happier). but i do miss the community all turning out & showing off their pyrotechnics.

maybe it’s just freakin cold & people took some days off for winter break though? (reminds me of political adversaries to leaders in SF, L.A. or CA trying to portray SF or L.A. or CA as a hell hole all the time.)
I'm not going to dignify this video with anything more than a screenshot, but for those of you not on the other site it may be of interest to know that the viral youtuber's mom flew in from Utah to spread her own brand of lies about our city to that audience.

Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.
