The utter preposterousness of this interview. A media figure talking about BBC bias while describing the president as his "friend". A child could see trough it.
It’s already started - the BBC allows Newsmax boss to opine about bias, suggest some of the Jan 6 mob were merely innocent tourists visiting Congress, without pushback

twitter being bought and turned into a propaganda machine for fascism, which is directly pumped into every journalist in the world's brain, is one of the worst things to happen in the last few years. we might not survive it.
I'm guessing the BBC 'scandal' has been big on X this week as this was the first I had heard of it...

IF the way to fight is children starving and planes crashing, that's not winning, we're just destroying ourselves to end Republicans.

That doesn't mean that what those 8 did was right, it was dumb and stupid BUT it doesn't doom Democrats 4/6

Unless you can go to children on SNAP and say "so can you starve for a year, that'd be great. I want to be quiet and if can still do it, you need to shut the fuck up and get off the internet. This is all just anger, you wanted a win that had the GOP giving up 2/6

It is actually hilarious how easy the Elden Ring base game final bosses were after going through the DLC

Godfrey and Maliketh felt like they were moving in slow motion compared to Radahn and Midra

one of the weirdest things that people believe on a website where the collective mood changes every thirty-six hours is that events completely unknown to 60% of the population, where 90% have the facts wrong, will have persistent effects eighteen months later

I think we should primary most Dems especially in leadership but if you seriously think they are a "compliant performative weak on purpose collaborationist party that assists fascism at every turn" rather than "being in the minority" you are a fucking idiot and don't know what you're talking about

Just in case you thought this was about trans athletes. This was solely about creating a fascist and racist gender bureaucracy over what constitutes being feminine enough to be considered a woman.

They're targeting cis women who may be intersex and banning them from sport.

The replies to this are some of the most idiotic, harmful morons on this fucking planet

I think D leadership is ass and needs to go, but if you offered me the choice of "replace Schumer & co" and "retake the Senate in 2026" the only choice for anyone with a brain and a heart is the latter
anyway if dems think I'm gonna forget this shit in 5 months, they're wrong. if they think I'm gonna forget it in 5 years, they're wrong. they have fully convinced me that purging the party of these inept losers in the senate is more important than retaking the senate in the next election cycle

Rick Scott told me his plan would be to take all of the remaining ACA subsidies and redistribute them to HSA accounts and people can then buy whatever insurance a state certifies. Basically a repeal/replace.
He denied when I asked wouldn’t that create two-tiered system where sick pay much more…

Democratic senators gave up fighting for 24 million to stay in healthcare, to stop Trump from starving 42 million on SNAP, but Trump is not going to stop trying to starve those 42 million. Because making American working families suffer & die is what brings him joy.

So every part of this is dumb but the idea that the Iliad is about 'fighting for princesses' is such a vapid take on a work that tells you exactly what it is about in the first (and last) lines.

You can tell the poem isn't really about Bryseis because her return does not resolve the conflict.

there is no reason that AIPAC would want to buy an end to the shutdown, but unconditional support for Israel as it plunges off a right-wing cliff and chronic Senate brain in the face of fascism are both kinds of toxic nostalgia which powerful, elderly morons wrap around themselves like warm blankets

I think if you want a reason to criticize Schumer a more plausible nail to hang your hat on would be that his betrayal in March made the gang of 8 less sure that he would have their back in this fight which is why they wavered.
I gotta say the evidence that Schumer is secretly controlling the cave caucus is some real thin gruel. It basically rests on the assumption of a level of Senate partisan discipline normally seen in a parliamentary democracy when it isn't just leaning on even grosser "perfidious jew" tropes.

[rocking back and forth, vibrating] the state department should adopt the cia’s view on israel
There are multiple things wrong with this but chief among them is the delusion that the State Department position (supports two states in the abstract while doing everything possible to help prevent it from happening) is somehow popular.

The antisemitic part is where people immediately and loudly jumped to "AIPAC donations" as an explanation for why the 8 caved and how Schumer was *really* responsible and controlled the whole thing.

I don't know why that's being swept under the rug. That happened! It wasn't great!
It's entirely fair to say you don't find the evidence sufficient. I take no issue with someone who can look at the facts as they exist and not draw the same inferences I do.

The leap from that to "there's zero basis for this and it's antisemitic" is where I call foul.
