i haven’t been posting as much lately because i find everything that’s going on to be overwhelming and i have trouble even mustering up anger over it tbh. not because it’s not enraging but rather because im afraid there’s no bottom once i start down that path and i need there to be one, you know?

for the first time in forever, feels like the dolphins have 3 young guys in Paul/Sav/Brewer to anchor the oline for the next 5+ years. idk about the other guard/tackle spot but that alone is kinda exciting, can build out from there with an elite RB (Achane) and WR (Waddle)

my strongly held prior is that the only area where you’re likely to see refusals would be orders to fire on protestors while the troops are deployed domestically.
Perhaps now people will stop wishcasting about the US military refusing illegal orders. That's not a thing that happens. The 100% compliance rate with using civilian boats for target practice was a bit of a tell.

I’m not naive about this, my formative political memories are (1) the Supreme Court handing its preferred presidential candidate an election and (2) that president doing illegal wars. But I find it pretty grim that the main lesson of American civics education is basically a joke.
