Trump is weak and the sooner we accept that, the easier it will be to defeat him.

You know the thing that will piss off Blusky the most is that what truly caused Musk's crash out and might have caused a MAGA civil war was DEMOCRACY. Literally because we won the WI Supreme Court race, Musk was kicked from government which made him bitter and lead to well this.

It's kinda funny how all of Karl Sad Trombone's supporters have kinda dried up and/or aren't rallying for his reinstation.

Seems he was just Kinda Loud and got Kinda Popular, but only among people who were more than happy to move to another Kinda Loud Person.

He was propped up, is what I'm saying.
So it's been 2 days, is fake-academic-Karl's suspension permanent?

No one was seeking Karl Trombone out for his insights, he was just loud and unhinged. The amplification machine picked up on that, and dropped it into peoples feeds.

Imagine the political and media reaction to Obama talking about changing the constitution to run for a third term in January 2014. Compare with the crickets for this.

So the house sits at 218-213, will be 218-214 after Jan 31st. That's ugly math.

I feel like it's very important to note that the democrats passed piles of bills with a 2 vote margin in the house because for all the hate she gets here, Nancy Pelosi was actually very good at her job (whipping and counting votes)

A 2 vote margin for the GOP feels existential

Put the opposition aside. That's very soft same-party support for a major military action by the President. And it's downright dismal among independents.

The idea that Mitch McConnell was a successful obstructionist is a pop-culture myth that needs to die. He largely failed; the ACA passed, Obama became a two-term POTUS. Where he DID succeed, it was because he had *bipartisan* aid from the anti-Obama centrist Blue Dog Dems — remember them?

It’s almost as if her alleged “standards” defense was just a smokescreen for her political decision.
Bari Weiss's Free Press website ran this screed by Matt Taibbi defending his lawsuit against a book author.

But the Free Press apparently never reached out to the author. Even though Weiss spiked that 60 Minutes piece for not reaching out to enough Trump officials www.thefp.com/p/matt-taibb...
Matt Taibbi: To Protect Free Speech, I’m Suing the Man Who Defamed Me
There’s a difference between censorship, which prevents speech, and seeking restitution for a harmful lie already in print. That's why I'm suing the man who defamed me, writes Matt Taibbi.

This is why news media rushing out polling to show a lot of ppl indifferent to what happened in Venezuela was, while predictable of them, incredibly premature. The idea that the shitshow that was sparked by Trumps initial actions was also concluded with them was completely unfounded.

But hey, at least you didnt spend the last several days erroneously boasting that you were going to run Venezuela now, right?
There are several videos on social media tonight showing heavy gunfire in Caracas this evening. Working to geolocate. Will share videos here.

It's not simply a parade of disinterestedly reported news stories with sober headlines about tragedies. It's everyone else's *commentary* about them.

Am honest read of the data and historical precedents is that Rs should be shitting themselves.
Are Republicans poised to win this year? Should they be "confident" about their chances? Who knows! The NYT certainly wont tell you bc reporting what the reality is about midterms would contrast with the pro-R narrative they are wedded to pushing.
