If I didn't know any better, I would say that the recent crypto bounce was front-running an anticipated pop from the Mar-a-Lago crypto confab, and lately we're seeing its unwind.

I wonder how much debate went into the construction of this meeting's minutes, which, as I understand it, are still voted on by voting FOMC members.
In Fed speak, "some" is larger than "several" which means those in the group with a higher bar ("clear indication" that disinflation is "back on track") to resume cutting is larger than the "several" who see a lower bar to resume cutting.

The documents required are expensive. If voter ID is so extraordinarily necessary, the federal government could spend money to create a free universal proof-of-citizenship card. Why hasn't it?

On the phone with customer service call center at a financial services firm. Human answers the phone and introduces himself as a virtual assistant (?!).
I had a 10-minute call with this guy who was obviously reading a chatbot's responses off a screen.
