Burry neglected to cite another 100-year issuer in 1997: JC Penney. That paper did not survive 30 years.
That said, some solvent issuers have century bonds outstanding. FedEx's $240m notes due July 2097 trade fine, current yield 6.4%.
Real story is insatiable insurance-company demand for duration.
