On regrettera juste que les poissons soient manifestement toujours considérés comme des légumes. Là où les autres animaux du conte sont individualisés et présentés comme des personnes, les poissons sont toujours considérés comme des aliments.

Bien sûr, il s'agit d'animaux anthropomorphiques dans le cadre d'un conte de Noël, mais je pense que ça traduit quand même quelque chose sur le malaise qu'il peut y avoir à tuer des animaux pour se nourrir. Et dans tous les cas, la cuisine végétarienne est mise à l'honneur comme conviviale !

- Présente les animaux (terrestres) comme des personnes qu'il est mal de manger
- Fait qu'un loup devient végétarien
- Met en avant une alimentation végétarienne et gourmande pour Noël

I wrote about the race to stop octopus farming before it starts. This issue has been covered a fair amount, so I wanted to look at one under-covered aspect of it -- why do so many people who study octopuses, and are fascinated by them, support farming them?

On ne sera pas surpris de voir la tradition invoquée pour justifier ces interdictions. En effet pour le Parlement hongrois, il s'agit de protéger de « les modes de vie ruraux traditionnels et la santé humaine » mettant en garde contre les « dangers potentiels des technologies non traditionnelles »

La Hongrie devient le 2e pays, après l'Italie, à bannir la viande cultivée.

Intéressant de noter que dans les 2 cas, ce sont des pays gouverné par l'extrême droite qui ont banni la viande cultivée. Aux USA, ce sont des états républicains qui ont fait de même.

As someone who has been working on the subject of alternative proteins for several years, this is obviously a topic that interests me. I don't think it calls into question the relevance of APs as a whole, but APs are certainly not a silver bullet, and we need to think about other measures as well.

Another one bites the dust. Two weeks after JBS settled a false advertising lawsuit with the NYAG to stop making "net zero" claims, Tyson has just settled in D.C. about its own "net zero" claims. There is no such thing as low-emissions or carbon-neutral cattle.
